BLADE RUNNER
Ridley Scott’s movie is great because it does not care much to hold the viewer’s hand. The plot is minimal, to the point that one could call it bad: the stakes are muddled, there is no real antagonist, and the hero is quite unlikable and not especially driven. But none of that matters if one focuses on the world-building, the images, the design, and the atmosphere of the movie. This is a movie that requires the viewer to pay attention to every inch of its audiovisual presentation, because it communicates mostly with
